Nestled in the iconic former Lucy Bell’s Café space on Daufuskie Island, Driftwood Diner was established with one clear goal: to serve exceptional diner food with genuine hospitality in a welcoming environment that feels like home.


    As a small, family-run restaurant with deep local roots, we are proud to be operated by people who live here, raise our children here, and truly care about the heartbeat of this island. Our menu is intentionally simple, featuring breakfast sandwiches piled high, fresh made biscuits, burritos that keep you satisfied until dinner, and seasonal delights like our berry-glazed biscuits and Papa’s Butter. We focus on mastering a few dishes and serving them consistently, with warmth and pride.
